Thy food shall be thy remedy. |

I firmly believe that if the whole
materia medica as now being used could be sunk to the
bottom of the sea, it would be all the better for mankind and
all the worse for the fish. |

● I began to suspect the close
relationship between health and proper eating habits when, early
in my career as an overworked young doctor, my own health broke
down. I have always been a man of great curiosity and as I
investigated deeply the chemistry of food along new lines,
I came to the conclusion that I, personally must give up the use
of drugs and henceforth rely solely on food as medicine. It was
not long until, after repeated verified results, I discarded
drugs in treating my patients. My colleagues, at the time,
thought I had lost my mind. But time has only strengthened my
belief.

● There is a place for drugs,
surgery, osteopathy, chiropractic and homeopathy. But unless
toxins are eliminated and proper nutrients are provided, healing
can not take place.
● We do not GET a disease. We CREATE a
disease by reducing our natural immunity through wrong eating,
thinking and living. All diseases are curable. But not all
patients are curable. we have to focus on the patient rather
than the disease.
● Management of chronic diseases is a medical euphemism. It
is not curing disease, but controlling it with the aid of
suppressive drugs. This type of response to disease halts any
progress towards healing. It serves only to make the patient
more comfortable, while allowing him to progress to the
degenerative stage, postponing the day of reckoning. Chronic
conditions denied proper care will inevitably regress into ever
greater chronic illnesses until they become degenerative. |

All diseases are related to
increased levels of toxic substances in the body. |

● We are the world's wealthiest
country-yet one the unhealthiest. we are flabby, overweight, and
have a lot of dental caries, fluoridation notwithstanding. Our
gastrointestinal system operates like a spluttering gas engine.
We cannot sleep; we cannot get going when we are awake. we have
neuroses; we have high blood pressure. Neither our hearts nor
our heads last as long as they should. Coronary disease at the
peak of life has hit epidemic proportions. Suicide is one of the
leading causes of death (fourth between the ages of of fifteen
and forty four). We suffer from a plethora of the diseases of
civilization.
● Modern man ends up a vitamin-taking, antacid-consuming,
barbiturate-sedated, aspirin-alleviated, Benzedrine-stimulated,
psychosomatically diseased, surgically despoiled animal.
Nature's highest product turns out to be a fatigued,
peptic-ulcerated, tense, headachy, over-stimulated, neurotic,
tonsil-less and appendix-less creature. |

It is important to remember
that the mere introduction of germs into the living organism
does not ensure their multiplication or the production of
disease. The condition of the organism itself has much influence
on the result. Pasteur has certainly made a hasty generalization
in declaring that the only condition which determines an
epidemic is the greater or less abundance of germs. |

... Though scientists do not all agree till now on the
relationship between illness and nutrition, but evidence
is mounting and there is a general consensus that the quality
and quantity of foods we consume in our affluent society and our
sedentary lifestyle are the main factors causing many forms of
cancer, cardiovascular and other degenerative diseases … |

Breast cancer, the biggest killer
of women among all cancers, exists where high saturated-fat
consumption is present. It is relatively uncommon among American
women of Puerto-Rican decent whose diet contains little
saturated fats and cholesterol. |

What most people do not know is
that the only thing that drugs do is alleviate the symptoms, and
that they do not help in regaining the body's health and well
being. Drugs do not cure. Nature and nutrition do. |

Nei Ching
or The
yellow emperor's book of internal medicine
|
|
There are 3 kinds of medicines.
The lowest is poisonous, the middle is a
little poisonous and the highest is not poisonous.
The lowest cures 6 out of every 10
diseases and leaves poison in the body.
The middle cures 7 of every 10 diseases
and leaves a little poison in the body.
Even the highest cures only 8-9 of every
10 diseases.
Diseases that cannot be cured with
medicine, can only be cured with food.
