Food is best natural medicine, treatment & cure

Standing on a whale,
fishing for minnows
|
An old Polynesian proverb says:
Standing on a whale,
fishing for minnows
When we look for a cure in a
chemical drug or some magic potion and ignore the effect of food
in our diet on our health and its contribution to our illness,
we are like someone who is:
Standing on a whale, fishing for minnows

I began to suspect the close
relationship between health and proper eating habits when, early
in my career as an overworked young doctor, my own health broke
down. I have always been a man of great curiosity and as I
investigated deeply the chemistry of food along new lines,
I came to the conclusion that I, personally must give up the use
of drugs and henceforth rely solely on food as medicine. It was
not long until, after repeated verified results, I discarded
drugs in treating my patients. My colleagues, at the time,
thought I had lost my mind. But time has only strengthened my
belief.

Nei Ching or The
yellow emperor's book of internal medicine |
There are 3 kinds of medicines:
The lowest is poisonous, the
middle is a little poisonous and the highest is not poisonous.
The lowest cures 6 out of every 10
diseases and leaves poison in the body.
The middle cures 7 of every 10
diseases and leaves a little poison in the body.
Even the highest cures only 8-9 of
every 10 diseases.
Diseases that cannot be cured with medicine, can only be cured with food. |

● Research compiled over the past
twenty years has beyond a reasonable doubt proved that mother's
milk is best for newborn babies. Formula-fed babies are more
likely to develop digestive problems and diarrhea. They also
have a lowered immunity to illness and infection, and less of a
chance of surviving the first years of life alive and well.
● Most of the vitamin supplements on the market are synthesized
from coal tar and other petroleum derivatives. And while the
synthetic substance may be chemically identical or closely
related to the natural vitamins, they may have only a fraction
of the biological activity. Synthetic vitamins may substitute
for some, but not all, of the functions of their natural
counterparts. Synthetics may also have additional effects beyond
those vitamins found in foods. In fact, vitamin manufacturers
warn us that large doses of supplemental vitamins A, B complex,
C, D and E can harm the body. |

Breast cancer, the biggest killer
of women among all cancers, exists where high saturated-fat
consumption is present. It is relatively uncommon among American
women of Puerto-Rican decent whose diet contains little
saturated fats and cholesterol.

All diseases are related to
increased levels of toxic substances in the body.

Would you fill your car's tank
with diesel if you knew it runs on gas?
Yet, most of us fill our bodies,
our most precious possession, with harmful foods that run down
this marvel of a machine and cause it to break down sooner or
later.
Do you know that this wonderful
human body is endowed with such strong tenacious defense
mechanisms that it has absolute natural immunity to all diseases
when it is well fed and cared for.
The real cause of disease is not
germs, but our abuse of our body to the breakdown point when it
is rendered so defenseless that tiny germs find it a good place
to multiply and cause disease.
