Arthritis causes joint
inflammation. The two common types of arthritis are
osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
● Osteoarthritis. In
osteoarthritis cartilage damage results in bone grinding on
bone. This can occur over years, or it can be hastened by an
infection.
● Rheumatoid arthritis. In
rheumatoid arthritis, the body's immune system attacks joints
and causes swelling, redness and pain. The disease can
eventually destroy cartilage and bones within a joint.
Joint pain and stiffness are the main symptoms of arthritis. Other
symptoms of arthritis include: swelling and decreased range of
motion. Some types of arthritis are accompanied by additional
symptoms: fever, fatigue, rash, breathing problems and night
sweats.
In the advanced stages of arthritis, joint deformation
can
lead to severe pain attacks and variable degrees of motion
disabilities. Arthritis is often associated with GI disturbances
like constipation,
kidney troubles
and high blood
pressure.
Arthritis traditional treatment
focuses only on relieving symptoms and improving joint function.
Medications
● Analgesics. They help reduce
pain, but have no effect on inflammation.
● Counterirritants. Varieties of
creams and ointments that interferes with the transmission of
pain signals from the joints.
● Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory
drugs (NSAIDs). Some may increase risk of heart attack or
stroke.
● Disease-modifying antirheumatic
drugs (DMARDs).
● Biologics. Used in conjunction
with DMARDs. These suppress the immune system.
● Corticosteroids. Reduces
inflammation and suppresses the immune system. Can cause
diabetes, kidney disease, osteoporosis and weight increase.
Therapy
Physical therapy, exercises,
splints or braces.
Surgery
● Synovium removal (synovectomy).
● Joint replacement. Joints most
commonly replaced are hips and knees.
● Joint fusion. For wrist, ankle
and fingers.
These surgical procedures are expensive and dangerous.
Available arthritis treatments can
be classified as medicine of the first and second degree among
the seven
levels of medicine, they are
expensive, not offering a cure and have harmful
side effects.
Food is best natural treatment. Foods affect arthritis
positively or adversely depending on their type. Foods that
restore natural balance cure arthritis naturally without
side effects. Arthritis is
expansive, and foods that cause expansion (Sugar,
sweets,
lettuce and
vitamin C,
etc.) will make arthritis worse.
Foods that cause contraction will naturally cure arthritis and
joint aches and partially repair joint deformations.
With the right diet, arthritis can be cured.
It
takes several months to cure arthritis depending on
its severity and how far it has developed.
The
seven conditions of good health include mental well being.
Arthritis often results in mental troubles, like
psychological distress,
lethargy and sometimes
depression. Improvement in
arthritis results naturally in psychological improvement and
increased vitality. Becoming less
preoccupied or overwhelmed with daily physical
symptoms. This allows time to
relax or meditate and be
more active and productive.
