Home Remedies
Inexpensive, effective and easy to make home remedies

 

 

Important note to our patients
Below is a list of many home remedies. Please use only the ones that are prescribed for you in your diet plan. Some of these remedies might not be appropriate for you specific condition.

For example, if you have diarrhea, chicory tea will make your condition worse.
Another example, if you have heart disease or arterial blockage, radish leaf tea will make your condition worse.

 

 

 

Radish leaf tea

1 cup of chopped green radish leaves

1 cup of water

1 tablespoon of soy sauce or a dash of salt and a squeeze of lemon juice

 

Boil the radish leaves in water for about 5 minutes with soy sauce or salt and lemon juice

Allow to cool for about 15 minutes

Drain and drink as tea

 

Radish tea

4-5 medium size red radishes (or their equivalent of white radish, daikon), grated

1 cup of water

1 tablespoon of soy sauce or a dash of salt and a squeeze of lemon juice

 

Boil the grated radishes in water for about 5 minutes with soy sauce or salt and lemon juice

Allow to cool for about 15 minutes

Drain and drink as tea

 

Mint tea

1 table spoon of dried mint

1 cup of water

1 tea spoon honey (only when permissible in your diet plan)

 

Bring to a boil

Allow to cool for 15 minutes

Drain and drink as tea

 

Cumin Tea

1 table spoon of ground cumin

1 cup of water

a dash of salt or a little soy sauce

a squeeze of lemon (not needed with soy sauce)

 

Bring to a boil

Allow to cool for 15 minutes

Drain and drink as tea

 

Chicory tea

1 cup of  finely copped chicory leaves

1 cup of water

a dash of salt or a little soy sauce

a squeeze of lemon (not needed with soy sauce)

 

Bring to a boil

Allow to cool for 15 minutes

Drain and drink as tea

 

Brown rice cream

2 cups of precooked brown rice

1 cup water

1 thin cotton cloth

 

Place precooked rice and water in a cooking pan

Bring to a boil

Let cool for 30 minutes

Place the cooked rice into the cotton cloth

Squeeze the cooked rice well into a bowl

 

 

Cabbage tea

2-3 large cabbage leaves finely chopped

2 cups of water

a dash of salt or a little soy sauce

a squeeze of lemon (not needed with soy sauce)

 

Boil the cabbage leaves in water for 20 minutes

Allow to cool for 15 minutes

Drain and drink as tea

 

Potato compress

4-5 medium size raw potatoes

1 thin cotton linen sheet

2-3 liters of warm water in a pan

 

Finely grate the potatoes

wrap the grated potatoes in the linen sheet

Dip the wrapped potato-in linen compress in the warm water pan for a few seconds

Place the compress on the affected area for 20-30 minutes then remove

 

Radish compress

1 bowl of grated raw red or white radish

1 thin cotton linen sheet

2-3 liters of warm water in a pan

 

wrap the grated radish in the linen sheet

Dip the wrapped radish-in linen compress in the warm water pan for a few seconds

Place the compress on the affected area for 10-20 minutes then remove

 

Ginger compress

1 table spoon of dry ginger powder or 1 piece of raw ginger the size of an apricot

1 thick cotton linen sheet

2-3 liters of warm water in a pan

 

If you are using raw ginger then grate it finely

Place the ginger in the water pan and bring to a boil

Let cool to about 45 degrees Celsius

Dip the cotton sheet into the warm water and place on the affected area for about 10 minutes
