The Five transformations (the five elements)
The transformation of energy from state to state
(yang to yin) goes through two stages in electricity, positive and
negative. It goes through five stages in the human body (as shown in the
figure above). These stages form a complete and recurring cycle in which
yin becomes yang and yang becomes yin again; Infinitely. Night becomes
day and day turns into night. Wise people throughout history recognized
this important cycle and spoke of it in detail. The truth is one. The sages speak of it by many
names. This is the still energy. A phase of quiet energy.
This phase in often likened to water. The body organ identified with
similar energy is the kidneys. The kidney's mother organ is the lungs and its
father organ is the pancreas-spleen.
This is the rising energy. A phase of upward
expansive energy. This phase is often likened to wood or tree energy.
The body organ identified with similar energy is the liver. The liver's mother organ is the kidneys and its
father organ is the lungs.
This is the most expansive stage. A phase of
expansion in all directions. This phase is often likened to fire. The
body organ identified with similar energy is the heart. The heart's mother organ is the liver and its father
organ is the kidneys. This is the beginning of the yang phase. A phase of
condensation from all directions. This phase is often likened to soil or
earth energy. The body organ identified with similar energy is the
pancreas-spleen. The pancreas-spleen's mother organ is the heart and
its father organ is the liver. This is the extreme yang phase. A phase of extreme
condensation. This phase is often likened to metal energy. The body
organ identified with similar energy are the lungs. The lungs' mother organ is the pancreas-spleen and
its father organ is the heart. |
