The food pyramid does not cure anything!

The food pyramid is only a general guideline. It will not help you in the treatment of a specific illness.
The pyramid mentions that vegetables are important. But is parsley like pumpkin or cauliflower? Is brown rice like buckwheat? Which seaweeds are beneficial in the case of an infection and which have an adverse effect? and which of these seaweeds help reduce cholesterol levels?
Do you know what foods you should start with based on your
current state of health?
Do you know how these vegetables and other foods will affect your body?
Do you know when to eat and when to avoid each one of them?

If you do, then you are your own doctor!
You are a free
person.
You know what it means to be free from the need for a
doctor or a medicine
Your heart does not know fear. Fear of illness.
You know that your food is your best medicine
You know what to eat and you use food instead of medicine

The maze of the food pyramid
What good would it do you to know that a certain fruit or a vegetable contains vitamin C or B complex or calcium?
The following was reported in an essay on the internet:
CRUMBLING PYRAMID The
US federal government has long tried to distill the best science on diet and health. But commercial pressures and bureaucratic obstacles have often clouded the results. The USDA’s famous Food Guide Pyramid, first published in 1992, is now widely viewed as flawed. “The pyramid is a disaster,” says K. Dun Gifford of Oldways, a nonprofit think tank based in Boston. “The American epidemic of obesity is the proof that it hasn’t worked. Period. Amen.”
In the case where a specific illness is present, the food pyramid is useless. It does not give an answer to the simple question which most of you ask:
I have an illness, what should I eat to get cured of this illness
The pyramid guidelines have to be modified to fit the patient's current needs. There is
danger
in advising anyone, regardless of their current health condition, to follow the food pyramid guidelines. Even the standard macrobiotic diet does not suit all. It has to be modified to suit the patient's health state.
Example:
The patient might have an allergy to some foods listed in the standard macrobiotic
food pyramid or in the food pyramid, as in the case of an intestinal infection, constipation or even lung cancer, etc.
Some of your frequently asked questions:
• Which of the listed standard macrobiotic foods are suitable for my health condition?
Answer: There is a specific diet plan for every illness and even for every patient. Parsley, for example, is helpful in the case of anemia, diabetes and many other illnesses but it is harmful in the case of salmonella poisoning,
ulcerative colitis, typhoid fever and many other illnesses.
The solution is that the patient becomes aware of the benefit of every food and its medicinal use and then he can be his own doctor.
• I have a specific illness. I think that some of the foods listed in the macrobiotic diet are harmful to me. With which of the foods listed do I begin?
Answer: The macrobiotic
food pyramid is indeed a varied and wide diet. If you do not currently have a specific illness you can follow the standard diet. But if you currently have a specific illness you need to follow a modified
food pyramid that helps you recover from your illness and then you can follow the standard diet. And this is where we can help you. We can provide a diet that is suitable for your health condition and will help you recover.
